^^^close up of the sticker from Jolee's and the tiny tag I made using the sentiment in the kit
I used Always Artichoke SU! card stock
Lawn Fawn pattern paper
Waffle Flower scalloped die
Large snowflake die is from Sizzix
I love to use burlap when possible, and this little banner from Jolee's has a tad bit of it under the letters in "Holiday", so I used a larger piece under my cups

My Growing In Unity Week~ Day 5

Hey there!!!
Welcome back to Robyn's Nest for
Day 5 of my GIU week
Confession time...
I was very unsure of myself for this week.
Being picked last year, gave me 13 months to prepare my cards, and my blog posts, and I did nothing.
I was worried I'd be too boring, or too chatty.
I worried I didn't share enough about my cards this week, because I don't list what products I use all the time... among other things that crossed my mind.
....but last week we all met Gigi, from
 Gigi Zone Paper Crafting
I sure hope you were able to read Gigi's posts.
I think me, following Gigi, and her "week of empowerment" was meant to be!
I felt encouraged by her posts. Like "you've got this, Robyn"
Thank you for the encouragement Gigi!! You helped me to gain more confidence.
If you missed Gigi and her week of empowerment, click the link below for her Day 1 as the GIU gal

I cherish my on line friends that I chat with daily.
Crystal Minkler and Eileen Mathys walk me through most of my days.
They have been a huge source of encouragement to me for over 3 years.
Thank you ladies for getting me through every day life ~ hugs

OK...that's enough of that!!

Now, onto this last card

I used a sentiment from the September 2019 KOTM (again)
It is second under the Santa/sleigh..
Poppy red card stock from PTI is my base, then a layer of white card stock from PTI, cut with
 Gina Marie rectangle dies.
the pattern paper is from the same GinaK paper I bought last year!!
I wish I had gotten 2 packages LOL

Close up of the loopy flower..this is a die from my stash that I have had for years and recently found! I love when that happens :)
I have no idea who makes it...sorry..if I had to guess, then I'd say Sizzix
a shinny brad in the center holds the sentiment in place.
I love how this turned out and I will probably make a few more in different colors.
oh, the glitter paper is from Lawn Fawn

below is the kit I used
I want to thank each and every one of you who have followed my week!!
I will also be sending out a thank you to one or two commenters myself.
Unity stamps, of course..
I will announce the winner/winners
when I announce the winners of the grab bag here on my blog.
Be there or be square 😊
Merry Christmas

My Growing in Unity Week~ Day 4

Hey there!!
Welcome back to Robyn's Nest !!
It's day 4 of my Growing In Unity week!
Recently, I needed to make a sympathy card for my older cousin.
I made this card for Libby
First I stamped the image
Then I colored this her with Copics.
Her hair was so fun to color...
I fussy cut her out trying to get the little bits around her in without having to mask it off....
(I'm lazy)
I heat embossed a maple leaf onto white card stock.
(can you see it??)

It was so pretty, and this 1/2" sheer ribbon from
Close To My Heart really sets off whatever card I add it to!!
Beautiful card that never made it to her.
I have misplaced it.
How does one misplace a sympathy card???
OMGAWD 💁
I've searched high and low.
It will turn up, but in the meantime, I'm glad I took these couple pictures ahead of time.
All Kinds of Holiday Love {kom 9/19

Ok, well, this is almost the end of my week
I hope to see you all back tomorrow for my last day as GIU gal
If you have any questions about products used, ask me in comments.
I read them all
Thanks for stopping by!!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers and My Growing In Unity Week~ Day 3

Hey there!!
What's brewin'?
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
Today my blog is doing double duty with my monthly post in Coffee Loving Cardmakers
AND
My Growing in Unity week!!
I am honored to be representing both today!!
When I saw this stamp set released, I had to have it right away!
I need all the Angie's girls whether they have a given name or in a set like this is..again, a nameless Angie Girl, but she is from the set
It was going to be my Christmas card image and I'd add different sentiments to it. Well I am so behind in my cards this year that I may have to just send Winter cards to make up for the missing Christmas card ...HaHaHa
ok, enough chit chat from me!
Let's get to my card for today
I started by stamping the image onto Copic friendly card stock, and letting it dry in for about 20 minutes..then colored it with Copics in blues and browns. I colored the coffee to go cup in green. At first I was trying to match a piece of pattern paper, but then found this small piece of white and blue pattern paper, so I switched up the background...it's ok, right?
Here is a close up of the sentiment that I stamped onto a piece of vellum I had already cute out with my
 deckle blade (from Martha Stuart)

Below is the image

Also, I used one of the sentiments from a Graciellia Designs for Unity
Sorry if this is blurry to you...
I use my iPhone to take pictures..
I would also like to mention that my teamie over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers Lisa Bzibziak is having a month long challenge featuring Unity Stamp Co
Use a Coffee, Tea or Cocoa product from Unity Stamps on your project and have an extra chance to win this month’s prize which is a small prize pack from me that includes this adorable Planner Girl Stay Cozy stamp set along with a few other things:

That's it for me for today!!
Thank you for coming by my blog today!!
I hope to see you back tomorrow for my Day 4 card for GIU

My Growing in Unity Week~ Day 2

Hey there!
Welcome back to Robyn's Nest
How are you?
Did you stop by here yesterday for Day 1 of my GIU week?
I sure hope so, and I hope you left me a comment, so you're entered into the giveaway

Today is day 2 of my Growing in Unity week.

For this card, I stamped the pine cone image from Unity's Kit of the Month for
September, 2015 called From Our Hearts to Yours
After stamping the image, I colored it with Copics.
I added some white gel pen as snow and highlights.
I added more pine boughs from my stash behind the image and popped it up with a couple dimensionals
I used the Cable Knit embossing folder from Stampin Up on the very vanilla top layer, then I used the Tim Holtz tool to drag the edges for a shred or distressed look. I actually use this little tool a lot.
The sentiment is from this same KOTM
Pretty, but simple card.
I CASE'd this card from one I made last year with mostly dies.

Our Hearts to Yours {kom 9/15}
Be sure to come back tomorrow as I am pulling
 double duty!!
Tomorrow 12/11 is my once a month blog post with
 Coffee Loving Cardmakers, from the
Coffee Loving Papercrafters FB group where I am a FB Ambassador, and Moderator in the group.
Unity Stamp Co. is always a huge supporter of our blog hops.
I am so happy to be representing both of my very favorite groups on Facebook
 (pinching myself)

My Growing in Unity Week~ Day 1

Hey there,  welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I am very honored to have been randomly picked from a slue of applicants for a week as a
 Growing In Unity gal/guy
I will be featuring cards I made with my absolute favorite stamp company
Unity Stamp Company
Since my week is in December, I will be making up for lost time and creating a few Christmas cards. I usually make about 60 cards a year, down from over 100
How many do you make each year??

I wondered which card I should start out with, and I decided to start with my newest Angie girl.
She has no name, but, you can find her in the
Kit of the Month from October. I've added the link below
This card actually started out with the paper.
I bought several packs of Gina K paper last year. As usual, I didn't get right into them until now, and oh my word I love it!! This paper is the glossy kind and I am really becoming a big fan of it.
After deciding on the paper, I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper.
Colored her with Copics, and then used my flat bottom die to cut her out.
Then added that panel on top of the pattern paper...
Later I decided that her hat needed some fluff, so I used my snow pen. Then the OMG moment happened..my "snow" pen had lost it's white, and turned into an off white or ecru color. 😒 Well too late now, so I added some white glitter real quick, and I think it helped...a lot
I had the pine boughs and Mistletoe already stamped and colored, ( I like doing that when I can)
they are also in this same KOTM-
so I fussy cut them out and added them with a ribbon bow I tied and a tiny Christmas ball from a sticker pack from Jolee's ..behind it is that awesome silver thread from Stampin' Up
I really love how this one turned out!!
Well that's it for me, for today.
I look forward to reading your comments
Remember, you get to be entered to win your own grab bag of Unity stamps just for commenting.
Thanks for stopping by

Hey there! Welcome back to Robyn's Nest!
This month marks our Friends of Unity Blog Hop's 2nd anniversary!!

Crystal (our fearless leader) asked a few of the ladies from Unity Show n Tell Facebook group to guest design with us this month and they have accepted Yay!! More the merrier!
Thank you for joining us
Donna Baes ,
 Shannon Edwards
and my friend Jessiac Pickeral
Welcome ladies!!

Our cue this month is
All Is Calm
Fitting for the month of December
I absolutely love making Christmas cards and sending to those who appreciate all the work that goes into making a single card, let alone 60 or more per year.
This is probably one of my favorites!!
For this card, I stamped the image onto PTI white cardstock. It is very Copic friendly, with no bleeding, or drinking up the ink in the markers!
Using poppy red cardstock as my base, I dug around through my pattern paper for some plaid!
Plaid just says Christmas to me! #madforplaid
See the top left corner?? I found a pine bough, and a mistletoe branch. I stamped, and colored them, then fussy cut them out to add some dimension to this card...at first, I was going to use the sentiment on the inside, but when I "tested" it out on front, I liked it right there!
(yes, it barely fit on that die cut)
I added some silver thread from Stampin' Up, and some Prima red flowers~
I also added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the snow, the smoke, and the clouds.
Below is the kit I used and a link to Unity's website so you can check it out for yourself. I have to say, that since I joined Unity's Kit of the Month I have not been disappointed.
We don't get a preview of the upcoming kit before it is sent, but I know I'll just love it!!
Have you seen the December KOM?? It looks like Unity made that kit just for me!! It's perfect!!
Monday December 9th thru Friday the 13th starts
my Growing in Unity week
I'll admit, I am terrified!
I won't have techniques, or anything fancy, but I will share an array of cards, not just Christmas
I really hope you join me and comment, because I'll be drawing 2 winners for a grab bag of stamps from Unity just for commenting on my week..

We would love for you to start from the beginning of this hop over at
