Guest Designing with Krafty Chicks

Hey there!!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I am super stoked to be guest designing with Krafty Chicks Challenge, and hanging out in their "hen house" for the entire month of September!
I was so surprised when Lori Turner contacted me, and asked!
Thanks, Lori for the invitation!!!!
Here's the link for you

My first card of the month is for my cousin Melody, in Illinois..
We grew up together, very closely, and here we are in our old age, still best friends!!
We try to vacation together, and so far we have been on 7 cruises..the last one in March of this year, before the world went crazy!!

Ok...enough chit chatting!!
Here's what I came up with

I wanted to make Melody a new card since it's been a while.
I didn't have any ideas in my head, so I went to the cards my crafty friends send me for inspiration.
Lisa Bzibziak sent me this gorgeous card last year. She is an amazing card maker, and I claim to be her number one #fangirl

Almost an exact copy 💖 (hers is prettier)

Here's a shot of the inside of the card, too
The details are as follows....
I used, My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence line of stamps (love them)
The set is called "You're My Person"

I started with a piece of heavy Papertrey Ink white card stock
I cut a heart out using Lawn Fawn stitched hearts, and a piece of pink velum..
I cut some plaid card stock with a fancy scalloped die
I stamped the girls image on white card stock, and colored the skin and hair with Copics.
I used the same paper pack to paper piece their clothes, then used the matching die to cut them out...
I used a few tiny white flowers, some sweet butterflies, and, stitched clouds to complete the card.
I just love how it turned out, and I know she will, too!!

If you have any questions about what companies I use, please ask in comments!
I try to keep my posts short, but would love to hear from you!!

That's it for me this week!!
See you back on September 10th for my 2nd card!!

My first card for the hop!!

I used pink & Main 6X6 paper pack called
Pumpkin Spice
and their newest stamp set
Pumpkin Spice
(available for PRE-ORDER now with this

My second card

My third card

All 3 cards were colored with Copics
I used the Stitched leaves from Lawn Fawn on all 3 cards

This stamp on my 4th and 5th card for the hop is from
Ink Road Stamps~ Michelle is now sold out ..

I colored Michelle with Copics and used pretty (retired) Papertrey Ink pattern paper.. I try to always use ribbon or burlap on my cards. I found I had sage green sheer ribbon in my growing stash and it added a soft touch to this card. Adding some Paper Studio flowers and leaves finished it off!

My 5th card

I couldn't wait to make this Fall scene card with Michelle!!
It turned out so cute (I wish you could see it in person)
here's a few close ups

Coffee Loving Cardmakers/ Fun Stampers Journey Collaboration

Hey there!! Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
The design team at Coffee Loving Cardmakers are thrilled to be collaborating with
 Fun Stampers Journey!!
I am using their stamp set Coffee Helps, and the matching dies Coffee Helps (4 die set),
and Coffee First (8 dies)..
Let me just say I had a blast with this set!!
For my first card,
I used PTI cardstock with the "to go" cup die from the coffee first (8)
Vellum for the lid, and a hello word bubble
Then used FSJ twine, and Fashion silver flat back/self stick bling!
I love how it turned out :)

For my second card....
I used the same dies as with the first card, just different cs, and layout..

My third card was inspired by Pinterest..

I stamped and die cut this cup, added it to a background die from Lawn Fawn. With a sweet doily , more of FSJ amazing twine, and a tiny yellow flower, I glued it all down, and added the sentiments...

I decided I needed some new bookmarks, and whipped these up in less than 2 hours!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire set!!

That's it for my cards, and bookmarks

I hope you're enjoying the collaboration,
and are getting inspired by all the cards, and projects along the way!!

May CLC Design Team

Hey there!
Welcome back to my blog for my May card for
Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.
I am really excited about this card.
I cannot remember where I saw a card that had a tea pot pouring flowers into a tea cup, but I really loved that idea and wanted to make one too!!
For my card, I started with Blueberry Sky cardstock as my base,
then added the design paper with a gingham pattern.
I used a die from Papertrey Ink called Plaid Die
I colored the inside of the die with gray and blue Copic markers to make them pop.
For the teapot and cup, I used some DSP from SU! and the dies from Lawn Fawn's Love You a Latte stamp and die set.. (so cute)
The sentiment came from  Unity Stamp Co. called My Cup of Tea...

I used it on my card from last month too..
The sheer ribbon is from CTMH.. I LOVE their sheer ribbon colors!
And lastly, I added these tiny flowers from The Paper Studio. You will be seeing these a lot on my cards because I love them so much!
Thanks for stopping by!!
