Friends of Unity~ September

 Hey there!!!

 Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
Happy Labor Day Weekend!!!
It's the first weekend of the month!! YAY!

***anyone else having a time of the "New Blogger"?**

I'd like to announce the winner from last months blog candy giveaway I had for one commenter...

Congratulations, Cheryl Taylor!!

I love the bright colours and polka dots, but my favourite part is the owl. It is ADORABLE!

Thanks Cheryl, for your sweet comments!

Your prize is finally on the way! <3

ok, onto the hop!!!

Our cue for this month is Friendship!

I have several, amazing, life long friends!

and my new crafty friends, too

This card is for my longest friend, Jennifer Busto

Jennifer and I met when she was a young girl (12) and we are still friends today.

Her birthday is on the 29th and I bought this set especially for her

Cherished Friends

I started out stamping them on PTI white card stock...Jenn is very much a girly girl, so it had to be pink!!
Jennifer's hair is much shorter, than this, but, mine is pretty close in the gray department

The sentiment in this kit was very long, so I carefully cut it after stamping
Jennifer is like my little sister, and she means the world to me!!
I hope she likes card ;)
Did you arrive her from
Sweet Dawn had a birthday!! Happy birthday, Dawn!!

Up next in the hop is my friend

Inky Hugs, Robyn

Friends, please know that our hops are not sponsored. (Although, we know Unity Stamp Co. lovingly approves) Because your support is so valuable and so appreciated, prizes are given from the creators own private stash of Unity stamps.

Guest Designing with Krafty Chicks

Hey there!!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I am super stoked to be guest designing with Krafty Chicks Challenge, and hanging out in their "hen house" for the entire month of September!
I was so surprised when Lori Turner contacted me, and asked!
Thanks, Lori for the invitation!!!!
Here's the link for you

My first card of the month is for my cousin Melody, in Illinois..
We grew up together, very closely, and here we are in our old age, still best friends!!
We try to vacation together, and so far we have been on 7 cruises..the last one in March of this year, before the world went crazy!!

Ok...enough chit chatting!!
Here's what I came up with

I wanted to make Melody a new card since it's been a while.
I didn't have any ideas in my head, so I went to the cards my crafty friends send me for inspiration.
Lisa Bzibziak sent me this gorgeous card last year. She is an amazing card maker, and I claim to be her number one #fangirl

Almost an exact copy 💖 (hers is prettier)

Here's a shot of the inside of the card, too
The details are as follows....
I used, My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence line of stamps (love them)
The set is called "You're My Person"

I started with a piece of heavy Papertrey Ink white card stock
I cut a heart out using Lawn Fawn stitched hearts, and a piece of pink velum..
I cut some plaid card stock with a fancy scalloped die
I stamped the girls image on white card stock, and colored the skin and hair with Copics.
I used the same paper pack to paper piece their clothes, then used the matching die to cut them out...
I used a few tiny white flowers, some sweet butterflies, and, stitched clouds to complete the card.
I just love how it turned out, and I know she will, too!!

If you have any questions about what companies I use, please ask in comments!
I try to keep my posts short, but would love to hear from you!!

That's it for me this week!!
See you back on September 10th for my 2nd card!!
Inky Hugs, Robyn

February 2108 Friends of Unity Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Friends of Unity Blog Hop!!
I am so happy you are here!!

For this months card I used my very favorite color combo, kraft and red :)
My favorite cardstock is from Papertrey Ink!
I used Unity Stamp Company's
This is an awesome stamp for any occasion. Love of coffee, Valentine's Day, a gift card holder to a loved one.. the possibilities are many.
I started out by stamping the image with red ink onto kraft cardstock, then using Gina Marie's Wonky Stitch dies I cut it out. I used  kraft ink to distress the edges of all the paper I used.
I decided to add a little love letter using my EK Success envelope punch and more coordinating designer paper from PTI~ it turned out so cute, and the sentiment that comes with the stamp set fit perfectly onto my little die cut "piece of paper"  ;)
I used the same paper for the banner strips too.
The twine is from... you guessed it PTI~ LOL  I love their stuff
The swirly heart is from Sizzix # 660222
This sweet bow tie paper clip is from Simon Says Stamp, and lastly I used the Sweetheart Mix sequins from Pretty Pink Posh....

I sure hope you are Hopping along with use! We may be a small group, but we seriously LOVE Unity Stamp Company so much!

If you would like to Hop along, we would surly love for you to leave us a comment letting us know what you think  :)
I hope to see you back in March for our next Hop!!!
First up is...

Oh, I forgot to mention, one of us is having a giveaway!!
Hop along, leave us a comment to be entered to win!!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/

Hey there  :)
Welcome to my blog !!
I am so happy to share this sweet card with you this week!!
Being a part of Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook group, and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog is so amazing for me!!
I never thought in a million years I'd be asked to take part with such talented women. I am still pinching myself, if I'm being honest.
I will be posting a card, one Wednesday a month, and this is my January card.
I really hope you like it  :)

Let's chat about this card for a moment, ok.
This sweet girl is from Unity Stamp Company's  new line called Planner Girls.
They are smaller than their Angie's Girl stamps, but as you know, Unity doesn't make small stamps-EVER! LoL
She doesn't have a name like the Angie's, but you can find her by clicking here> Stay Cozy
I started out stamping her with Memento Black ink, colored her in with Copics.
Then I used Craftin' Desert Divas (<link) Fancy Frame Dies to cut her out. I used Papertrey Ink white cardstock as my base, then grabbed a piece of printed cardstock, too.
I used Stampin' Up! Pool Party for the blue layer, and the little piece for the sentiment.
The sentiment is also from Unity, from the Itty Bitty line, called Cup of Love.
I used pink embossing powder on it :)
I don't know if you can see it, but under the top, white layer and over all the other layers, I used a piece glitter tulle to cover the entire card, and trimmed it some. I am going to so sad when I run out of that tulle. I bought it and 6 other glitter colors at JoAnn's 4 years ago, and I have not seen it since then  :(

This sticker is so amazing!
It is from Essentials (Sandy Lion)
It was a gift to me from my friend Eileen Mathys for Christmas!
I just love it, and I will be buying more of them :)

This pretty little flower came with the same sticker set!! Too cute  :)

Well, that's my card for this month! I hope you like it, too.
I can't wait for next month!
Valentine's Day!
I already have an idea spinning around in my head!!
See you then  ;)
