Hey there, welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I am very honored to have been randomly picked from a slue of applicants for a week as a
Growing In Unity gal/guy
I will be featuring cards I made with my absolute favorite stamp company
Unity Stamp Company
Since my week is in December, I will be making up for lost time and creating a few Christmas cards. I usually make about 60 cards a year, down from over 100
How many do you make each year??
I wondered which card I should start out with, and I decided to start with my newest Angie girl.
She has no name, but, you can find her in the
Kit of the Month from October. I've added the link below
This card actually started out with the paper.
I bought several packs of Gina K paper last year. As usual, I didn't get right into them until now, and oh my word I love it!! This paper is the glossy kind and I am really becoming a big fan of it.
After deciding on the paper, I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper.
Colored her with Copics, and then used my flat bottom die to cut her out.
Then added that panel on top of the pattern paper...
Later I decided that her hat needed some fluff, so I used my snow pen. Then the OMG moment happened..my "snow" pen had lost it's white, and turned into an off white or ecru color. 😒 Well too late now, so I added some white glitter real quick, and I think it helped...a lot
I had the pine boughs and Mistletoe already stamped and colored, ( I like doing that when I can)
they are also in this same KOTM-
so I fussy cut them out and added them with a ribbon bow I tied and a tiny Christmas ball from a sticker pack from Jolee's ..behind it is that awesome silver thread from Stampin' Up
I really love how this one turned out!!
Well that's it for me, for today.
I look forward to reading your comments

ReplyDeleteWonderful card, and love your post. Let's put it this way. I don't make as many cards as I had intended to, each year. Look out 2020!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Robyn! I love how your coloring matches your pretty paper. As to the liquid snow...it looks just fine; the slight ecru tint makes the hat edge have more of a 3-D and vintage look. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks Dorothy!! Imagine adding the last little thing to your image and it ooze out yellowed...yuck!! I'm glad it turned out. Hugs
