Coffee Loving Cardmakers~ Fun with Jaded Blossom

Hey there, and welcome back to Robyn's Nest!!

I have a couple fun cards for you today from one of my favorite Super Sponsors, Jaded Blossom!

Their July release was all for me! Just kidding, but you would think so with all that coffee goodness! Anything from fun, new coffee stamps, to new coffee themed stencils! I was in heaven!

As soon as the sets arrived, I couldn't wait to get inky!
I am having a random blog candy giveaway this month

First, I used the super sweet owl from the Don't Give a Hoot set
 link is below

Don't Give a Hoot

Ack!! How cute is this Owl??
I started out by stamping, then coloring the image with Copics,
then I decided to paper piece the cup!
Next, I fussy cut it out...
Going through my stash, I ran across these dies from
Best Day Ever, and Jumping Jacks
I cut the dies out with a few colored card stock
I then went looking for a tree die, or stamp, and found that I had bought this gorgeous birch tree die from Simon Says Stamp. So, I cut it out in white, then I used a deckle blade to trim the edges around that piece. I added a colorful polka dot piece of card stock I had used on a previous card, so I added it behind the trees :)
The Best Day Ever dies came with these super fun flowers, so I added them, too...
The Jumping Jacks die is so awesome! I loved using it on this card...

I also decided to use the negative piece from die cutting to make another card, just for fun!!

I really love how these 2 turned out...I felt like I was channeling my inner Lisa Bzibziak on these 2! That's not a bad thing, either, since I'm her super fan ;) and she constantly inspires me with her amazing creations!!
I sure hope you enjoyed my cards for this month!!
See you here again next month
 (September 16th is my day)

Friends of Unity~ August 2020

Hey there, welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
For this months cue, we chose Sympathy
Before I get to the details of my card, I want to announce the answer to my question for last month
Q~ who was the past design team member, from the UK that is the  Queen of Paper Piecing??
Answer is~ Sharon Nettleship***
I got an email from Karen Ladd with the correct answer!!
Congratulations Karen!!
I have already sent out the prize (June 202 Kit of the Month) and a little extra ;)

For my sympathy card, I chose to use
For this image, I saw it being water colored easily...after water coloring it, I use my Copic markers very carefully to darken the "grout"
Here is a close up of the sentiment
I had to have this sentiment set when it came out by Ann Butler Designs
After I finished this card, and took the pictures, I began to clean up a bit, and under some paper I found this perfect bow...I have it taped down on the backside of the card...I wanted to get an opinion...keep the bow, or lose the bow...I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

With the bow

That's it for me this month...
