Ok onto this hop!!
We have a sketch challenge this month!!
We have a sketch challenge this month!!
Here's how I was inspired.....
I stamped out the image a few weeks ago from the January KOM from 2020
and decided to use her today for this sketch...
I colored her with a few Copic Markers
BG 10-11-13
Y-000 for her eyes and glasses
E 21-37-18 for her hair in strokes, then I went over the entire thing with the Y00
I zoomed in a little..I used a white gel pen to highlight the top
I got out my gold thread from Stampin' Up and tied a bow around her finger where the stamped line is (it looks cute in person)
From the kit In God's Sight, I chose the line of hearts.
I stamped them on vellum and heat embossed them with gold.
I fussy cut them out, then I wanted them to hang loosely.
So I got to thinking, I have this punch that pokes 2 holes. I can thread more of that gold thread through it
I like how it turned out. I added some gold shimmer hearts here and there.
I decided that she was thinking about her man with her head in the clouds...do you like that??
I added a gold cloud in back to tie them together..
I chose to use this shiny gold paper because of the tiny gold dots in this amazing paper from Lawn Fawn.
For my next card, I chose this sweet little cup.
I just love the heart steam!!
A tiny bit of coloring went into this card.
If you have any questions, please ask.
I don't want to get too wordy. 😉
I hope you like my play on this months cue/sketch

Ooohhh lala... your first card is hot! Love your coloring on the girl and the string of hearts were the perfect touch! Love it!! And your second card is so pretty... I love the flourish and curve on the edge piece! Love it too!!
ReplyDeleteYour first card is just fabulous! I love the way you colored the hair, the eye make-up and the glasses. The cloud idea is awesome and the strings tied in 3D is so cool too. Your tea card is sweet too. I love how you chose 2 different styles for the same sketch!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I love
ReplyDeleteall the elements on the
first one. The vellum
hearts are a fabulous
touch.

Oh so gorgeous and fun, Robyn. So full of life, both of them. That string of hearts and awesome coloring, just captured my heart on the first card. But the second card is just so classy. Think I need to pick up some vellum now!
ReplyDeleteOh wow those are both so lovely, Robyn!!! That first card really touched me!
ReplyDeleteYour attention to detail is absolutely amazing! I am a detail oriented person and you have inspired me so. I have that same 2 hole punch and now you have given me an idea on another way to use it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU, Meg!
DeleteI'll take that as a compliment, friend!!
Your candid comments make my day...inky hugs

Wonderful cards. I like the special details on them.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are wonderful! I think that's the beauty of a sketch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and unique design with your first card. The little details like embossing, vellum, fancy eye shadow and that gold bow on her finger...love this!! I always enjoy the hop because I get to see so many different stamps and styles, and it always inspires me.
ReplyDeleteI love the details and coloring on your 1st card. And sewing!?! So cool! Just amazing! And the softness and colors of your 2nd card are so lovely in pink. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim!! Not sewing though. It's the die from The Greetery called, Drifting.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodnes this hop was super fun! Boy I was so late to find some reading time here (which kept all of the FOU in my heart all month) and am thrilled to finally sit down and really enjoy all of these lovely cards and all the details! Love reading every word! (Especially the times my name appeared as a winner... still happy dancing! ) I really love the vellum additions on your cards... I must do the string of hearts.
