Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
It's time for another Friends of Unity blog hop!!
This month's cue, Paper Piecing!!
Before we get started, I'd like to announce the winner of the June hop!
Congratulations to
That large feather image makes a beautiful focal point on your card and I love the bright colors that you used!
Please contact me at robyn6420@aol.com
or on Fb messenger :) with your address!
I absolutely love to fussy cut, so what others find tedious, I find soothing...
...no, I'm serious!!
The very first time I ever saw paper piecing was actually in the Unity Show n Tell group!!
Can you guess who used it??
She is a past DT member who I became fast friends with..... :)
I have a huge giveaway for the right answer....
Your first clue is...She is from the UK
Your second clue is...She was the Queen of Paper Piecing, and used soft color pallets, and lots of gorgeous paper!
But, was only on the design team for a few years.
As Unity adjusts to all the changes, I was mistakenly sent 2 KOM's...contacting Unity, they said I could just do a giveaway with it...
I will put everyone with the right answer to my question into Random.org, and choose a winner to send the June 2020 KOM to!!
Good luck, everyone!!
For this months card, I chose Hip, hip, hooray
I was so thrilled with the size of this stamp!!!
She's no bigger than the Planner Girls are..perfect little stamp!
I used some pattern paper, and stamped the image into it. Then I heat embossed it in black, so I have a nice ridge to trim against, then I use my black Memento pen to go around the white edges, then glued it onto the full stamped image ...easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!!
I used a few dies from Kat Scrappiness and enamel dots from Gina Marie
I used some purple seam binding to tie a belly band around the entire card :)
The paper pack is from Unity called Rainbow Vibes
Yes, her hair is purple 💜💜💜😉
(thought I'd give it a try)
I really love how this card turned out!!
Here are some extra pictures I took of the envelope.
Also sharing how I use that extra strip of paper I cut off the 6x6 piece.
Below are stickers for the envelope
I wanted to share with everyone that I have created a FB group to post my cards...here is the link if you'd like to join me. I hope you all do, as I will no longer share them to my personal FB...thanks for all your wonderful, caring words on my blog, and on FB, too
Be sure to comment on every blog in the hop, because there are more giveaways to be won!!!
Here's a link to the beginning of the Hop
Up next is
Stay safe & healthy
Inky Hugs, Robyn

Your card is packed full of rainbow goodness!😊 🌈. I love that you are using up your scraps making butterflies... I hope you will post what you do with those 😊.
ReplyDeleteHey Dorothy!!
DeleteI use the butterfly stickers on the envelope closure or on the front left bottom corner, just to tie the inside flap together...
I'm so glad you asked
Thanks for commenting

Shannon Pavlovic Edwards is a wrong answer..Shannon is very talented, but she has never been on Unity's design team..Shannon was inspired by the past DT member, though
I'll give you a hint
The past DT member I'm talking about is from the UK
