Hey there!!! Welcome to Robyn's Nest and your last stop for the February Friends of Unity Blog Hop!!
I sure hope your year is off to a good start!!!
Who loves a good, quick and easy sketch??? I DO!!
It doesn't get much easier than this one up ^^^ there!
Here's what I came up with. I hope you like them
I used Unity's Kit of the month from June 2020 called "challenge the world"
I made this card for a couple in Florida that invited us to join them for New Years Eve
I brought creamy mushrooms to add to the prime rib dinner (delish)
The hostess kept thanking me for the "shrooms" 😆
For this "shroom" card I used copics W3 & W4 and a touch of green...
The frame die is from Impression Obsession...I use it a lot~
The color scheme is taupe...the sentiment went on crooked :( and stuck so well I couldn't reposition it
Can you see the shine on the mushroom? I used a piece of clear card stock between the frame and the colored piece, so it kinda looks like a picture~ I don't know why I did it~ I didn't mean to make a shaker card, and it isn't, but....and my goofy glitter pen blopped out...grrrr, so to make it look somewhat intentional, I did a tiny bit of splattering and wiping away...it turned out ok
The inside will thank them for their hospitality
For my second cards, I needed a Valentine card for the hubs, so I went with the first heart I saw
Kit of the month for December 2018th
Following the sketch, and using a couple Copics to add color, this one went very fast~( don't overthink this, Robyn)
Thank you SO much for hopping with us this month

I am in love with your mushroom taupe card! I think I might see if I can get my hands on this mushroom image. I love that you used a frame and then clear card stock over it. The popped up butterfly is perfect too! So much fun to make cards that are personal and bring meaning with the "shrooms" story, I love it! Your heart card for your husband is adorable too!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your "shroom" card! Perfect taupe scheme. Love that you are sending it as a thank you card. By the way, the sentiment looks fantastic at that angle!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny about the 'shrooms'. Are they from central or North Florida? I'm in the South and we say mushrooms (tho I don't think it's odd to say 'shrooms'). Anywho!! lol Your cards are all wonderfully designed (mistakes & all! because you know there's no such thing in crafting!).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your hospitality Thank you card Very "Mush"! The im'perfect'ions are pretty and organic and look planned. I tend to panic and need to learn the fix it tricks better.
