Denise Bryant!!
Thank you ladies for your continuous support of our hop!!

Ok, onto the rest of the hop!!
Our cue this month is
 My Favorite Things...

For this card I used

The sentiment is heat embossed in gold
I used a swirly embossing folder from Darice
and Specturm Noir clear shimmer pen over the glass and stem
I tied a knot (idea from Crystal M. ) from some plaid ribbon and added it for more color
The sentiment that comes with this set was too big for the front of this card, so I stamped it on vellum in red and heat embossed it with Dazzling Diamonds from Stampin' Up
I did add a bit of color to the glass with Copic R0000
and E0000 for the bubbly ;)

Thanks for hanging to the end!!
I am having a few giveaways this time so be sure to leave a comment along the way to be entered!

Friends of Unity Blog Hop~ November 2020

Hey there!!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest 💖
I sure hop you are starting off your Saturday morning with a hot cuppa and hopping along with us!!
Welcome to Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers
We get together the first weekend of every month to showcase our love for Unity Stamp Company

November's cue is Backgrounds!!
I'm a little last minute this month because ...(shameless plug, ahead) I am also hopping over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers, and our bi-yearly blog hop!!
I will leave a link at the bottom for you to check it out. Feel free to link your own cards...but, I will get to that later.
ok, so...
this month I chose to use Old Bird, by Tiara Jackson
She is such a hoot!!
Here's a link for you, below.

Backgrounds...hmm...I got lazy, (no surprise there).
and went fishing through my stash. I found not one, but two shave cream technique panels!
  Say Whaat!!??
How lucky was that??
Here's a link to watch GinaK's demo...it's less than 5 minutes

I simply stamped the image on Papertrey Ink white cardstock
Colored her coat to match the background (bg)
I used puttyon her coat
E-17,40,42 on the collar and sleeves.
C-00,-03,05 on her shoes, and the pigeons.
a tickle of purple V-01 on her socks...
her hair is also purple (not just for the old ladies, anymore) 😄
if you knew how many "my mama" stories I have from all the ladies and the curse of the purple hair...mother was~as they called them, a beautician.
Fortunately for me, I have 3 way older sisters (LOL) that got all the perms, and hair color when they were little. By the time I was born, she was a stay at home mom, with a following (to our basement and her little "shop")   my hair was chemical free until I was in my 20's , and now for the last 3 years I have grown out to my natural color. Yay me!!
Hair color is V-000-00-01-02
The paper clip is from Tim Holtz. It's a clock, without hands.
A few of Gina Marie's enamel dots, and I was done! YAY!!
Then I had time for this second card
Again, I use a shave cream panel.
I cut it out with a die from Waffle Flower
I used PTI white cs with a this square, frame die from Paper Sweeties.I love the wonky edges all around.
I stamped this image from the
Kit Of The Month aka (KOM or KOTM)
I heat embossed the cup with clear WOW! embossing powder
I used a little chalk on my fingertip to give the center heart, and plate a bit of color.
I stamped this sentiment from another kit onto vellum with rhubarb color ink, then heat embossed it in clear with WOW! embossing powder

I hope you have enjoyed my cards!
Please leave us a comment along the way!!

OKAY!!!
Let's get this party started!!

For my first card, I chose
Trinity Stamps>> link>> Trinity Stamps

This guy was super popular last year, and I never got a chance to use him.
So this year I couldn't wait to get inky!!

Sometimes I just let a paper color inspire me!
This pretty piece of "snowy" paper is from a paper pack from My Favorite Things did it for me!!
The trees in the back are from a die set I just bought from Sizzix...I love the "snow" on the branches and decided to use a sheet from Doodlebugs fabulous paper!! Very festive 😊
The snowy stitched hills is a die from
The Greetery   called Drifting (it's gorgeous)
and see that bag in back, right? My friend Carla makes those!!

Now to this image!
Oh my word!! I cannot express how fun it is to use this set!!
I used nearly all the stamps in this set at least a few times!!
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using WOW! embossing powder onto a scrap piece of vellum

I did a tiny bit of paper piecing for this tiny cup..

Here is a shot of the inside of the card.

The sentiment is from my wooden stamp stash
 of misc companies...

Ok, that's it for me for today.!!

Friends of Unity~ October Birthday

Hey there!!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
This months cue is Birthday
YAY!!
Because it's my beautiful niece's birthday month, too and she turns 50
Happy birthday, Shanna
I made this card using Unity's Kit of the month for November 2018

This first card came together pretty easy. I had it in my head and with a little help from my DT friends, I chose to finish with the big "cheers" die

This second card was not planned at all, but this gorgeous cupcake was calling me to color it up.
So I used the same color scheme..
I hope you like my cards for this month!
That's it for me
Up next in the hop is..

Krafty Chicks Challenge~ week four

Hey there!!
Welcome back to Robyn's Nest!!
Well, today is my final day guesting with the chicks in the Hen House (sigh)
I have had a lot of fun this month!!!
My thanks to Lori and Leanne for having me!!
Here's a link to the challenge for ya!

For my last card, I chose to use this fabulous new set from

I absolutely love this set! Oh my gosh! Too cute!
I colored this up with several Copic markers and die cut it out with a die from Papertrey Ink
I love using burlap, so when shopping at "The Lob" (Hobby Lobby) I saw this fun paper pack! Ack! Meant for ME!!
I was all done with this card, and putting away my mess, when I spotted this cute, CUTE little squirrel in another set, so I quickly stamped him out and colored him up! I know he doesn't really have on a sweater, but, I saw where I could give him one! After fussy cutting him out, I used a pop dot and stuck down  :) HaHa!!
I just love the squirrels in
here are a couple close up shots for you!
Thank you so much for stopping by and hanging with me this  month!!
below is another link for you!!!
Enjoy!

Guest Designing with Krafty Chicks Challenge

Hey there!!!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I'm back with the Krafty Chicks Challenge week 3!!

Krafty Chicks Challenge

This week, I am back in the Hen House with this Clean And Simple (CAS) card using Unity Stamp Co and their Kit of the Month for August

~Illustrated by Jeanie Marie Hays~

I did not intend for this to be as it is, but, once I stamped the sentiment, I decided to just leave it alone..I really love how this card came out with absolutely no coloring!! I am not a CAS card maker at all. As a matter of fact, I am so happy with the new slimline cards being made right now. They give a card maker like me So much more room for embellishments!
For this card, I used 2 different stamp sets.
and
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!!
I look forward to next week for "anything goes"
Don't forget you can join in all the fun by linking up your own card!!
See you back here on September 24th
