Coffee Date with Robyn and Eileen

Hey there !!
Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
I am so excited to be having a coffee date with my long time friend Eileen Mathys!
Eileen and I met through a couple Facebook stamping groups. Eileen was admin in Stamping Addicts and was always so nice and helpful to me. Wasn't long before we were chatting daily about everything stamping, and beyond!!
Eileen's CAS style amazes me. She knows exactly when to stop, and let the card be.
Something I have a hard time pulling off (I've tried) ;)

Eileen and I decided on a color inspiration

Here is what inspired us!!
Gorgeous color pallet, don't you think?

For my card, as usual I started with Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White Cardstock, as my base, cutting it lengthwise at 4 1/4, and scoring it at 5 1/2' and folding..
 below is the link
Lucky for me, I had all these colors in my Stampin Up stash!!
I cut the first layer with my absolute favorite die set from Super Sponsor Waffle Flower called Lacy Layers 2
I used Unity Stamp Company's stamp from their Uniquely Unity line of monthly release stamp clubs.
This gorgeous stamp is called Flutters To Go

I stamped on water color paper
then I took each marker and squiggled a line of ink onto my mat
Using a water brush pen to pick up the ink, I colored the image.
Using another die from my stash, I angled the die, and cut.
Then I started layering the card stock
I wrapped a strip of ribbon that matched, and added the flowers from Petaloo
A bow made with seam binding in white! I love using seam binding as ribbon, all crinkly and pretty easy to tie...
That is it for me!
I can't wait for you to jump over to see Eileen's card!

Friends of Unity March Designers Choice

Hey there and welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
Sorry I missed ya'll last month, but I'm back this month with a card I CASED from my sweet friend Bobbie Sue!
Last year I received a gorgeous card from Bobbie Sue for my birthday!
I never put it away because it brought a smile to my face when I saw it!
So I bought the stamp and set out to make one, too one day.
Almost a year later, I made this one in teals for my cousin Melody in Pingree Grove, Ill
Bobbie Sue water colored the image, so I gave it a try as well..

I love how it turned out, but my water coloring is no match for Bobbie Sue's!

I sure hope you arrived here from
