Coffee Loving Cardmakers~ National Iced Tea Day 2021

Hey there!! Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!
Happy National Iced Tea Day!!

I hope you are having a good day so far!

The design team over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers are hopping with our teamie Dana today to celebrate!!
**Side Note**
If you come to my house, you will always be asked if you want some sweet tea.
I make gallons of this liquid gold every week.
We live in the south and you'd probably find it very hard to find a fridge without a gallon or two!!
(Channeling my inner Paula Dean accent...Ya'll" )

Here's how I was inspired!!

For my card, I used Unity Stamp Company, who are Super Sponsors of our fun Blog Hops!
I used a stamp from one of their Kit of the Month's _ have you ever seen the size of those KOM's?
 What an great value!!
Look how BIG they are, too..the stamp I used is at the bottom, left
Sweetness, Miracles & Wishes {kom 5/19}
Unity Stamp Co < link to this Kit

I stamped this image onto Papertrey Ink white card stock
Using a few Copic markers, I colored it up!
I colored the lemons with Y-00 & Y-15
and used the following for the sweet tea- E-00 & E02
I used this amazing frame fro Impression Obsession to cut out some textured vellum from Stampin Up.
Then choosing some Design Series Paper from my stash, I simply cut to fit.
The sentiment I used is my absolute favorite Southern Sayings from Paper Sweeties called
Lastly, I used some of my gorgeous sheer ribbon from Close to My Heart, I tied a pretty bow

I love how it turned out!!

Did you arrive here from Erin??
Here's a link to go back to my teamie Erin's blog below

UP NEXT IS....

I hope you are enjoying your favorite beverage today, even if you aren't a sweet iced tea fan

Friends of Unity Blog Hop June 2021~ Masculine

Hey there!! Welcome to Robyn's Nest!!!
Today the team is hopping with a new theme~
Masculine
A lot of us struggle with masculine cards.
I hope you find some inspiration this month!!
To start this month off I have chosen this motorcycle from June 2018 Kit of the month

For this card I only did embossing.
No coloring

I embossed the motorcycle in gold and the sentiment in black
I used my Tim Holtz paper shredding tool on the edges and some SU DSP
A bit of black paint splatters (looks like an oil spill) 😀

Using PTI kraft paper, and Versamark black ink and more black embossing powder, I again, did not have to color this one
Like last month, I love using black on kraft for a clean, simple look

I used a few stamp sets here...
The sentiment "You and Me" is from the January 2020
The camper and sunshine are from (link below)
I used Kat Scrappiness mini slimline embossed edge for the main layer
Here's a link to KS and all her amazing Mini Slimline products

I plucked the branch out of a different KOTM and will post when I find THAT kit LOL

The tire swing is from Rubbernecker
~I'm giving this last card to my husband
We will celebrate 37 years of marriage, June 17th

I sure hope you had fun with us this month

Friends, please know that our hops are not sponsored. (Although, we know Unity Stamp Co. lovingly approves) Because your support is so valuable and so appreciated, prizes are given from the creators own private stash of Unity stamps.
